Korean Mandus(Korean dumplings) are popular all over the world these days. In Korea, various types of instant Mandus(dumplings) are released, so we can eat them conveniently.
The mandus in the photo above can be eaten deliciously by simply boiling or frying them.
Origin of Mandu(dumplings)
It is said that dumplings were originally made by Zhuge Liang as a Chinese food. When Zhuge Liang finished conquering Namman and approached the river named Nosu on the way back, it was impossible to cross the river due to severe rain and wind. Zhuge Liang is told that in order to cross the river, forty-nine people must be sacrificed on their necks.He could not kill an innocent life, so he kneaded flour and filled it with the meat of cattle and sheep, then shaped it into a human head and offered it to the gods.
In this story, it is said that the name‘mandu’, meaning‘head to deceive’, originated from this.
There are many kinds of instant mandus(dumplings), so you can easily eat mandus(dumplings), but the taste of homemade mandus(dumplings) are also excellent.
